Feycolor Group sold to the Mipa Group

The acquisition will involve an expansion of Mipa’s capacities and new additions to its product range and, above all, synergies in the industrial coatings and car repair areas.

Looser Holding AG headquartered in Arbon, Switzerland has entered into an agreement for the sale of the Feycolor Group to the Mipa Group in Essenbach, Germany. The internationally active, family-owned company develops, produces and distributes coatings with special focus on industrial coatings. For Looser Holding AG, this sale constitutes an important step towards concentrating its coatings business on the main applications in the areas of wood, packaging and non-stick coatings.

The Mipa Group acquired 100 % of the Feycolor Group and the enterprises Feycolor GmbH in Regensburg, Germany and Feycolor GmbH in Mäder, Austria. The internationally active company develops, produces and distributes paints and coatings with special focus on industrial and car repair coatings. The Mipa Group inter alia maintains sites in Essenbach, Frauenfeld, Switzerland and Villach, Austria. The Feycolor Group will be integrated into the Mipa Group as an autonomous entity. The employment contracts of all employees will be transferred to the purchaser. The Feycolor production plant in Regensburg and the distribution location in Mäder as well as the Feycolor brand will continue to exist. In 2013, the Feycolor Group generated revenues of about CHF 16 million (CHF 1 = EUR 0.82).
