Customers of the Rheingau company can now obtain all products for the soldering, adhesive bonding and cleaning of printed circuit boards from one source.

Adhesives for the electronics industry

The Belgian company, Roartis has offered adhesives for the electronics industry since 2008. "Even if the company is still relatively young, the founders have more than 13 years experience in the manufacture of adhesives. Therefore we could enter this partnership with a good conscience", said Markus Geßner, authorized signatory of Emil Otto GmbH.

The product portfolio of Roartis is comprehensive. In addition to classic SMD adhesives, not only are electrically conductive adhesives for EMC shielding offered but also heat conducting adhesives. In doing so the company focuses on adhesives based on epoxy resin or epoxy-hybrid compounds. For this reason the adhesives have the advantage of quick curing and thereby achieve a long service life. In addition these materials can also be well used as underfiller or globtop substances as they easily creep into gaps or cavities and thus protect the components and contacts against environmental influences.

Development of special products

In addition to standard products, like Emil Otto GmbH, Roartis offers the development and production of special products. Here the adhesives are compounded on the basis of the customer’s requirements. The evaluation of the mixing ratios is done in close cooperation with the customer.

"Since our take over of Emil Otto GmbH in the first half of 2014, we have continuously worked on expanding and reorganizing our product portfolio and adapting in line with customer needs. It is especially important to us that our customers can obtain all consumable materials for the fields of assembly and joining technology from us. This saves our customers a lot of time in researching and ordering and they have just one single, competent point of contact. In the choice of our partner it was important for us that we work together with companies which are not only interested in small customers but also large customers and serve both with the same level of quality”, Geßner explained the decision.
