Information on statutory provisions on distance selling relating to online ordering from Vincentz Network

1. Conclusion of contract

1.1 Your contract for subscription to a journal or the purchase of another product is with Vincentz Network, Plathnerstr. 4c, 30175 Hanover, Germany. 1.2 The conclusion of a contract between you and Vincentz Network results from your completing the order process on one of Vincentz Network’s websites. Once you have selected the desired product and entered your personal data and the delivery address for the product, all the details are displayed once again in full. It is then possible for you to check all the entries and, where necessary or if you wish, to edit them. We recommend that you print out the final text of the order, since this cannot be retrieved again later on. You can then transmit your order to Vincentz Network by clicking on "Order”. The display will immediately show you whether we have received your order. If the transmission was successful, the order is saved and you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us with the subject line "Vincentz order confirmation …”.

1.3 When your order is received by Vincentz Network you are making a binding offer of contract which Vincentz Network may accept by sending an order confirmation. If Vincentz Network accepts your order by making the order confirmation, the contract between you and Vincentz Network comes into effect with service of the order confirmation to you. The contract is then binding for you and for us.

1.4 Your subscription contract ends on cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time without notice. In the case of subscriptions that have a minimum contractual period, cancellation is possible at any time once that period has expired. Supply then ceases immediately. Overpayments will be repaid. Prices include delivery costs and VAT.

2. Types of payment

You will receive delivery against invoice.

3. Warranty

The statutory warranty applies.

4. Right of cancellation

You have the right to cancel this contract, without stating a reason, within fourteen days. The time limit for cancellation is fourteen days starting with the day on which you, or a third party appointed by you other than the carrier, take possession of the first goods. of your decision to cancel this contract by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You can use the attached cancellation form for this, though this is not obligatory:

You can also complete the cancellation form or another clear statement electronically and send it through our website . If you make use of this option, we will send you a confirmation of receipt of such cancellation without delay (for example by e-mail). It is sufficient, in order to have observed the time limit for cancellation, if you send the communication indicating that you are exercising the right of cancellation before the time limit for cancellation expires.

Consequences of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we must repay to you all payments that we have received from you, including delivery costs (except additional costs arising from the fact that you selected a different type of delivery from the low-cost standard delivery we offer), without delay and at the latest within fourteen days of the day on which we receive the communication of your cancellation of this contract. For this repayment, we will use the same payment means that you used for the original transaction, unless we expressly agree otherwise with you; under no circumstances will we make any charge to you for this repayment. We may refuse repayment until we have received the returned goods or you have provided proof to us that you have sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier. You must send the goods back or surrender them to us without delay and in all cases at the latest within fourteen days of the day on which you informed us of the cancellation of this contract. This time limit will have been observed if you send off the goods before the time limit of fourteen days has expired. We will bear the costs of return of the goods. You must only pay compensation for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to your handling of the goods other than that required to check their nature, properties and functionality.

5. Sealed data media

There is no right of cancellation in the case of contracts for the supply of audio or video recordings or computer software in a sealed package if the seal has been broken after delivery.
