Dear sir,
i'm developing a paste wall putty. I have some problem with my product.
1. After apply developed putty there is no shiny appearance.
2. After touch on dry surface, powder retain on finger.
3. what is the suitable anti fungicide & percentage to inhibit growing of fungi?
4. Should kaolin contain in putty.

Please help to me solve this problem.

Best Regards
suna.

Q2 (and maybe Q1?) could be solved by adding more polymer binder. The gloss level I'm not sure about - if it was a coating I'd say more polymer and coalessant solvent could work. Maybe a smaller particle size for the filler (it could be matting the system down).
Q3 - there are loads of fairly standard biocides - look at the data sheets and get one that gives good dry film protection - probably only need less than half a percent, but look at the data sheets/talk to the reps.

Dear Suna,
dry surface of putty don't need a shiny appearance, because shinyappearance will be very hard to be sanding, that is not what we want.
if you want get a wet shiny appeance, key point is to adjust your thickening system.
normally, kaolin is no need in putty, main fillers in putty are c.c. and talc. powder.
