European Coatings Conference
"High Performance Waterborne Clearcoats II"
12 - 13 November 2009 / Berlin, Germany
On the fast lane
Thanks to its VOC-free or VOC-reduced character, waterborne coating is a fast developing technology. In many applications, waterborne coating systems have become the standard solution, replacing their solventborne counterparts.
Waterborne polymers are already commonly used as binders in architectural paints, but also other types of coatings are using waterborne processes, thus enabling high performance clearcoat applications. Waterborne 2K polyurethane clearcoats are currently substituting solventborne coatings systems in automotive exteriors e.g., taking advantage of their outstanding resistance properties as well as the environmental benefits.
Thanks to the successful introduction of the first ECC on waterborne clearcoats in 2007, the second edition of this technical conference will once again provide attendees with an overview of current developments for waterborne clearcoats. Renowned international experts will present their findings in terms of raw materials, formulations and applications.
The conference addresses R&D managers of coatings raw materials producers, coatings formulators, and end users across Europe and beyond.
In the morning of the first conference day the pre-conference tutorial "Fundamentals of Film Formation" will impart conference delegates a profound base knowledge on general requirements, chemistries and technologies regarding waterborne coatings.
See you in Berlin!
