European Coatings Conference
"Textile Coatings"
May 14th - 15th 2009 / Berlin, Germany

The name says it all: „Textile Coatings“ is the title of this new European Coatings Conference, dedicated to novel materials and technologies for textile products.

There are numerous applications for textiles in everyday life: protective clothing or non-clothing like furniture, automotive, sports & leisure, building & construction.

The functionalities of textile coatings are manifold: they can make textile products dirt-repellent, waterproof, flame-retardant and work against weathering and mechanical strains. Materials used for these coatings are polyurethanes, silicones, polymers and nanomaterials among others. We see a shift towards more eco-friendly solutions.

The conference addresses R&D managers of coatings raw materials producers, coatings formulators, and end users across Europe and beyond.

On the day before the main event the conference will additionally host the preconference tutorial “Basics of Textile Coatings” enabling conference delegates to acquire a profound base knowledge on general requirements, chemistries and technologies regarding coatings for textiles.
