European Coatings Conference
"The Power of Ink-Jet Materials V"
December 06th - 07th 2007 / Berlin, Germany
Beyond paper
Ink jet is a deceptively simple technology - an array of nozzles that move back and forth depositing tiny droplets of liquid onto a sheet of paper. However, the fact that those droplets are so precisely measured and placed means that the possibilities of such a device extend far beyond the mere printing on paper. Indeed, ink-jet technology is a great way of depositing minute quantities of various materials onto a surface, while precisely controlling the local. In a printer the liquid is coloured ink, but it could be any liquid - from suspensions of metal particles to living cells. The evolution of a wide range of substances that can be used as "inks" in ink-jet print heads, together with progression in printhead positioning and control systems has made a variety of applications possible. Examples are printed electronics, food decoration and rapid manufacturing of complex 3D objects. Thus, ink-jet technology is addressing the changing needs of the print market and the technical development will continue.
Focusing on these developments, the European Coatings Conference "The Power of Ink-Jet Materials V" will provide you with ideal networking opportunities and up-to-date information. The conference will present 13 high-level technical papers, given by invited international experts, on topics such as functional materials, high-volume ink-jet printing, printed electronic and applications in biotechnology.
You should attend if you are
- an engineer, project manager, technician or scientist involved in ink and/or print head development
- working in organisations considering assessing new opportunities in industrial ink jet either as a supplier or a user
- interested in further potential of ink-jet
Additionally, the conference will host the pre-conference tutorial "Fundamentals of Ink-Jet Printing" enabling conference delegates to understand the basic principles of the technology from an ink perspective as well as from a printhead perspective.
Do not miss this opportunity - see you in Berlin!
