During 1,5 days, each conference features approx. 15 technical presentations, given by invited international experts from leading companies and research institutes.

The programme of every European Coatings Conference includes one hour of intense roundtable workshops, which are dedicated to specific focus topics within the general conference theme and which are moderated by speakers of the conference. As a delegate, you may choose the workshop that best suits your individual interests and then bring up any problem or question for discussion that you feel is important. Workshop topics may, for instance, address specific substrates, specific application areas or markets or specific technologies. As an important side effect, the focus workshops will effectively bring you in contact with a group of international peers with a common specific interest, maximising your networking possibilities.

Delegates’ Survey
Drawing on the combined expertise and market knowledge of the international conference audience present at a ECC, an anonymous online survey will be carried out among all conference participants a few days before the event. In this way, some light will be shed on the considerations of this leading assembly regarding the current market and research situation as well as future expectations. The results of the survey will be presented at the conference opening.

Early on the second conference day, selected speakers of the event will be available for scheduled one-on-one discussions with delegates, on issues of their individual concern. Thus, delegates are invited to “book” their favourite speaker for such an intensive 15-minute-meeting, benefiting even more from the speaker’s expertise.

Then let us take you to a relaxed networking night with a group of other conference participants in one of Berlin’s traditional restaurants. Enjoy lively discussions with your colleagues and see where the conversation takes you! Select "Have a beer with your peer" along with your conference registration to reserve your seat. We recommend to use this event as an ice-breaker on the evening before the conference. We will supply you with the time and place of your restaurant reservation as well as a taxi-voucher to get you there comfortably. Food and drinks are at your own expense.

In order to ensure this aspect, the European Coatings Conferences provide ample opportunities for networking. Alongside coffee and lunch breaks, each European Coatings Conference offers an exclusive Delegates Get-Together. During the Get-Together participants are first taken on a short bus and sight-seeing tour of Berlin, followed by reception and dinner in some of Berlin's most prestigious, well-known or sometimes even strange venues, always ensuring an experience and an opportunity of meeting in an informal but very professional atmosphere.

Introductory Pre-Conference Tutorials are offered for certain European Coatings Conferences. These take place a day before the actual conference and explain basic conceptions and chemistries of the actual conference topic helping delegates to follow the main conference competently. The tutorials are limited to a maximum of 15 participants and are scheduled for 4 hours. Separate registration for this event is strictly required!

The European Coatings Conference take place at the Holiday Inn Berlin Esplanade. The Hotel Berlin Esplanade is a modern 4 star hotel located very close to Tegel Airport ensuring short travel times. We advise to stay at this hotel in order to have everything under one roof. Hotel accommodation is not included in the registration fee. Delegates can make their own reservations at the venue. The hotel offers special conference rates - detailed information shall be sent to the delegates together with their official confirmation.

Delegates staying at the Holiday Inn Berlin Esplanade can make use of a free-of-charge shuttle service to and from Tegel Airport.

Registrations can be made by returning the official registration form or by internet. Cancellation policies are the following: Fees will be refunded in full if notice of cancellation is received up to 4 weeks before the conference. 50% of the fee will be refunded if cancellation is received later, but no later than two weeks before the conference. In all cases postmark shall apply. Delegates who fail to attend without notifying the organiser will be liable for the whole conference fee. Substitutions of delegates may be made at any time. Cancellations and changes should be made in writing and will be confirmed by the organiser. Any fee refunded will be paid after the conference.
