Eco-friendly colorant launched
Tuesday, 9 November 2010
The new colorant is free of hazardous VOCs and alkyl-phenol ethoxylate (APEO).
Chemrez Technologies Inc has launched a new eco-friendly and cost effective colorant for paints called "ChromaFresh". It is free of hazardous VOCs and alkyl-phenol ethoxylate (APEO). The colorant enables paint companies to heed consumers’ clamour for non-hazardous paints without hurting their pockets and being short changed on quality. The colorants have a wide range of colours used in tinting and are compatible with both solvent- and waterbased paints. Tinting with the new products is done either during production in a paint factory (in-plant) or at point-of-sale centres such as Do-It-Yourself home depots and paint shops where exact colours can be chosen and prepared for customers.
