The supply with raw materials and energy becomes sustainable

The material and energetic utilization of biomass reduces the emission of gases harmful to the climate, diversifies the raw materials supply and stabilises it long-term. The Fraunhofer Innovation Cluster Bioenergy (UMSICHT) develops now new utilisation concepts for biomass. The objective is to tap optimation potentials in collection, transport, storage and process management.

Packing one atom in a cage within an atom framework for a new catalyst

New approach to prepare corrosion-resistant epoxy coatings

The aminic hardener of these coatings contains submicron emeraldine-base polyaniline. Processing of the hardener through this approach resulted in the formulation of an epoxy coating with superior corrosion protection properties.
