Focusing on automotive painting processes

Wednesday, 26 October 2011

Possible future scenarios of surface protection of cars will be presented in a paper at the European Coatings Conference "Automotive coatings".

Automotive painting processes were shaped during many years by quality and environmental issues. Generally, very high standards concerning product quality and process stability could be achieved. Due to new customer requirements, new material developments, new substrates and new cost challenges the processes are already now changing dramatically and will most probably change even more and on a broader scale in the medium to long term. Starting from the state of the art and considering progress in science and development in the fields of surface technology and engineering, possible future scenarios of surface protection of cars will be presented in a paper at the European Coatings Conference "Automotive coatings" on 24 and 25 November, 2011 in Berlin.
