The global can coatings market represented a demand volume of about 800,000 tons in 2011 and a value of EUR 2.8 billion.
Both coil and can coating represent highly efficient industrial metal finishing activities. Despite their relative modest share of the industrial coatings demand their market impact, also in terms of sustainable development, and degree of technological sophistication is rather significant.
