Aliphatic coatings raw materials: Bayer MaterialScience increases capacity

Bayer MaterialScience increases the production capacity aliphatic coatings raw materials at its Chinese site in Caojing from 11,500 to 27,000 tonnes per year.

Bayer MaterialScience has announced a capacity expansion of "Desmodur N" aliphatic coatings raw materials at the company’s integrated site in Caojing, near Shanghai in China. The plant has increased the capacity to 27,000 tonnes per annum to meet the growing demand in Asia, particularly China, in the automotive, general industrial and plastics market. The company has been producing aliphatic coatings raw materials at the Chinese facility which had an initial capacity of 11,500 tonnes per year.
