The general use of nanoparticles is under debate because of potential health risks.
The use of nanoparticles in the coatings market has become common as well as in cosmetics, clothes and food. The technological advantages have moved into the background while the general use is under debate because of potential health risks. Lung damages could be caused by these small sized particles which migrate there. Other studies show that nanoparticles are fixed in the surroundings and are therefore not harmful for humans.
