European Coatings Award for waterborne technology

The winner of the European Coatings Award 2009 has been determined: Dr. Zhen Wen Fu of Rohm and Haas, US, received the renowned price yesterday within the opening ceremony of the European Coatings Congress in Nuremberg. "Designed Diffusion Technology: A paradigm shift in film formation" is the title of the winning paper, presenting a new technology that significantly improves the early property development of waterborne latex coatings while addressing the challenges of the low VOC formulation landscape. The presentration presents detailed evidence of this technology with analytical, physical and application data. The whole paper will be published in the June issue of EUROPEAN COATINGS JOURNAL.
